inspire :: Joel Brochu

Looking at the first image, you are probably wondering what is so special about a picture of a dog getting washed. Well, meet Joel Brochu and take a closer look to what is actually a high definition photograph of a 4′ by 1.5′ board covered in 221,184 nonpareil sprinkles. Using a customized computer program, a template was created from an original image to determine the colour placement. Taking 8 months to complete, each sprinkle was individually placed by hand, one by one using jewelry tweezers. See more of Joel’s amazing work on flickr here. Simply impressive.

I created the inspiration column as a place to share projects and works of art that truly amaze and I wanted to say thank you to Joel Brochu for contacting us about this amazing project!
