wedding wednesday pins

wedding wednesday1wedding wednesday2wedding wednesday3wedding wednesday5wedding wednesday6wedding wednesday7In elementary school, I remember being sent home from school with a list of classmate names. My mom would then take me to the store to choose a box of Valentine cards that she would help me address and we would spend all week making Valentine presents. When February 14th finally came along, our class had a Valentine party where we distributed cards and ate heart shaped candies until our class was in a sugar coma. Nowadays, we spend a quiet day home with takeaway and maybe a heart shaped treat!

To celebrate tomorrow, my Wedding Wednesday pins are themed around hearts and the colours red and pink. Happy Valentine’s Day! Find me on Pinterest here.

wedding wednesday pins

wedding wednesday2wedding wednesday6wedding wednesday5wedding wednesday collagewedding wednesday 7wedding wednesday1This week’s Wednesday Wedding pins are all about pom poms. I went on a bit of a pom pom craze last month prepping for this. They are such a versatile decor element and so easy to make that once you start, you will want to make hundreds of them in every colour of the rainbow.

indie i do :: lotus events booth

My current crush is with the colour gold and with a can of gold spray paint and a bottle of gold glitter, I was pretty invincible!

Our booth was an eclectic mix of DIY and vintage items. What we didn’t already have around the house was crafted specifically for the show… gold spray painted zoo animals + pomegranates, glitter signage, and lots of neon confetti! Booth design is always a challenge and as a service based company, in this case, wedding planning, it is sometimes hard to portray what you do without coming across as a decorator. I’m super happy with how everything turned out and we didn’t have any confused brides wandering through our space, so that’s two thumbs up in my books!

It’s hard to imagine that Miranda and I started this show 5 years ago during a normal breakfast catch up. Created as an alternative to the cookie cutter wedding shows, Indie I Do is a great place to meet the coolest wedding couples looking to add a non-traditional touch to their upcoming wedding day. Not to mention, the best place to catch up with some of my favourite wedding vendors. That is, if you get a chance to leave your booth and check out all the other fantastic goodies at the show!
