You guys – it’s that time of year again! The holiday craft season is quickly approaching and we are excited to announce that our maker line up is live on the Got Craft? website. Browse our official roster here and start those wish lists!
A huge thank you to our amazing team of vendors, volunteers, and sponsors for working so hard to make Got Craft? such a success! Also a big thank you to everyone that came out to shop and support local indie business. We love our community of supporters! If you missed out on the fun or are looking for more, the London Fields Shoppe Pop-Up is open until Monday, December 23rd.
We visited with the lovely ladies from Brick & Mortar Living last weekend, a beautiful shop that carries a selection of locally handmade and vintage / reimagined goods. Located in one of Vancouver’s oldest neighbourhoods, the shop is a part of the Arundel Mansions, a building built in 1912 and chock block full of the character details that I love.
With a keen eye for styling and displays, sisters Julia and Emma (with the help of their mom!) fill their shop with plenty of inspiration from repurposed mason jar pendant lamps and tennis racket cork boards to handmade goods by Pretty Paper Please, The Beautiful Project, Belvedere, and more. They pride themselves in providing a memorable face-to-face customer experience so make sure to stop in and say hello!
Knock everything off of your holiday shopping list at Vancouver’s largest indie craft fair, Got Craft?, happening at the Croatian Cultural Centre from December 8-9, 2012. Here are some holiday gift ideas…
PINT-SIZED PEOPLE (see above)
Little ones will love Hudsonny’s plush camera toys, Honey Canada’s eco-friendly toys, like these fresh felted apples, and colouring over posters and postcards by Draw Me a Lion.
Relax in the bath with Element Botanicals’ Ritual Bath Truffles, made from skin-loving cocoa butter or suds up with Simple Soap, which makes naturally fragrant, glycerin-free soap in scents like peppermint pine, red clover rainbow, and grapefruit sage. Finish up with an energizing, calming, or soothing body mist by Feest.
GIFTS FOR GIRLS
Give the gift of cute clothes and statement jewelry — like this architectural necklace by Marian + Hazel, alongside a treat from Chef Kev, neatly tucked under the tree. (left image via Janis Nicolay for Barefoot Contessa)
Hello! We are a husband and wife team that share a love for a good cup of coffee and a slice of Victoria sponge. This is where we share our work, our travels, snippets of our everyday life, and most important, the things we ♥.
