Our second main stop at the Clerkenwell Design Week was the Farmiloe Building. Now offering characteristic office and warehouse space, this building was first opened in 1868 and used to be the home of Victorian lead and glass merchants. These images don’t do it justice. It is absolutely beautiful with original features throughout the entire building including a small bank vault and gas pump. You may also recognize it from Batman as they used parts of the interior as the Gotham Police Station. The exhibitions housed at the Farmiloe consisted mainly of high end furniture and lighting companies including a small space filled with some beautiful wallpaper.
