new item :: vintage finds

LFSCollageLFSPaperOrnamentsHere’s a quick sneak peek on some of the vintage finds that we brought into the shop this week! Two of my biggest weaknesses are vintage Christmas ornaments and vintage children’s illustrations, so I’m surprised that these are even making it to the shop – HA!

clockwise:

A complete set of The Wonderful Worlds of Walt Disney hardcover books – Stories From Other Lands, America, Worlds of Nature, and FantasyLand. Printed by Golden Press in 1965 and in good condition with very minor wear and tear.

Vintage Animal Fun Letter and Object Matching Game and Vintage ABC Push-Out Toy Cards – Two complete children’s games from 1954 / 1955 that are in great condition with almost no visible wear and tear. Would make a fantastic decor piece in a children’s room or as a gift for somebody fond of vintage illustrations!

Paper Vintage Christmas Ornaments! These are probably one of my most favourite items in the shop right now! From an estate of a past window dresser of Eaton’s, these ornaments are absolutely amazing. Sold as a set of 6 (in its original box).

got craft? :: postcards are ready!

GC-Dec2014-CardFGC-Dec2014-CardBJeannette from The Beautiful Project has been exclusively designing our print material for the past six years and she has knocked it out of the park once again! If you haven’t already picked up a copy of our new holiday postcard, we’ll be hanging out with the ladies from Pip & Pin at Knit City this weekend. Cards will also be available at various local shops and crafty events leading up to Got Craft?.

Thanks to everybody for stopping by at IDSwest and Etsy Made in Canada last weekend! It was great to visit with so many of you and to meet some new faces! We’re working on a few things that we’ll be sharing soon including a NEW swag bag design (get ready for cuteness!) and a shop update (about time right!?)!

To see more of Jeannette’s work, you can check out her etsy shop here or visit Matchbox Creative, the web company she shares with her husband, for web design and development.
