A trip to the fair

The PNE is an annual fair similar to a country fair in the United States with animals, amuseument park rides, fair food, a marketplace, etc. Although, their focus over the past few years seems to have shifted towards more entertainment and less canned goods, quilting, and ribbons for the best pie. This year, the PNE is celebrating their 100th year and you can check out their digital book here to read about it’s history and to view images dating back from the very beginning. The PNE is on until September 2nd, so don’t miss out on the mini donuts and cotton candy – our yearly tradition! What are your fair favourites?

Hey! Just a friendly reminder that vendor applications for the Got Craft? holiday edition on Saturday, December 14th and Sunday, December 15th at the Maritime Labour Centre close this Friday, August 23rd at 23:59. For more information including an online application, click here!

one last summer holiday hurrah

We had one last summer holiday hurrah over the weekend stuffing ourselves silly with pink cotton candy and cinnamon sugar donuts. I have attended the PNE every year (except the last one) for as long as I can remember and we continued the tradition by taking our two year old nephew who was completely head over heels in love with the Pig Races and those Clydesdale Horses. Our visit was brief, but we managed to hit all of our favourites in record time before we had to head home for nap time. Two year olds have a very strict schedule!
