In her work “From Scratch“, artist Judith G. Klausner turns everyday food items into amazing works of art. Did you guess that those cameos above are made of oreo cookies?

She says that, “Like the production of food, a variety of handicrafts were a mundane requirement of the female gender. Sewing, embroidery, and knitting have enjoyed resurgences, sometimes even within the realm of fine art… My latest series (now in progress) uses Victorian handicraft processes to transform modern packaged foods, exploring how the intertwined histories of gender and craft have shaped one another and our everyday lives.”
