city guide :: san francisco, ca

San Francisco (CA) in the Fall is the best. We missed the torrential downpour that SF had during the last baseball game before the World Series and enjoyed some warm sunshine which we welcomed with opened toe shoes! As you know, there are tons of places to see, eat, visit, etc in San Francisco, but here are a few of the places we visited on this trip (my 10th!). PS. 3 days is not enough!

Tartine :: 600 Guerrero Street :: A small cafe with no signage outside except for a piece of 8.5×11 piece of paper with their hours, but who cares as this place should be renamed baked goods heaven. Somehow I managed to squeeze in two trips filled with flaky croissants, coffee (hot + iced), and a lemon poppyseed cafe.

Trouble Coffee :: 4033 Judah Street and General Store :: 4035 Judah Street :: I follow puglypixel via instagram and know that Trouble Coffee is one of her regular stops. Never ones to turn away from discovering a new coffee shop, we hopped on the tram and headed (WAY) down Judah Street. Great little strip of shops hidden outside of the city and super easy to get to as well. Bring your treats and walk a few blocks down to Golden Gate Park or the beach.

Makeshift Society :: 235 Gough Street :: An amazing space for creatives to work, share, collaborate, or just hang out with each other. A clubhouse for creatives. I won’t say too much about it as you will have to stay tuned for a full post!

Four Barrel Coffee :: 375 Valencia Street :: Nice space with their coffee shop at the front, brew bar on the side, and roastery at the back. A lot of beards behind the counter, but not in a pretentious way and they had great coffee.

The Curiosity Shoppe :: 855 Valencia Street :: This area of SF has really changed over the past years and it looks like there is more to come with construction crews lining the streets. We really fell in love with the Mission District and with so many great shops and places to eat, it wasn’t hard to stay away!

Craftsman and Wolves:: 746 Valencia Street :: Thanks to Donna for the recommendation! A contemporary pâtisserie serving a selection of cakes and pastries that are all immaculately presented.

Pot + Pantry :: 593 Guerrero Street :: I had pinned a picture of their store front and didn’t realize that they were located in SF until we happened to pass by on our way to Tartine. Definitely one of my favourite finds on this trip, but you will have to stay tuned for a full post to see more.
