the past 3 weeks

the_everyday_MayIt’s been a while. My 1 week break turned into 3 and although I’m not sure if I’m ready to take on a 5 day / week blogging schedule, I am happy to be back on here. To be honest, I was feeling a bit burnt out after Got Craft and earlier in April went through a small phase of self doubt and needed a change. One of the most important points that I took home from the blogshop Vancouver (more on that soon!) course is to step away from the computer and go experience life in order to create unique content. So what have we been up to? A little bit of everything! I’ll be sharing a few adventures and new finds on here soon. Right now, I need to work on the not so glamourous life of catching up on emails and list making.

Thanks for following along and stopping in!

indie i do :: lotus events booth

My current crush is with the colour gold and with a can of gold spray paint and a bottle of gold glitter, I was pretty invincible!

Our booth was an eclectic mix of DIY and vintage items. What we didn’t already have around the house was crafted specifically for the show… gold spray painted zoo animals + pomegranates, glitter signage, and lots of neon confetti! Booth design is always a challenge and as a service based company, in this case, wedding planning, it is sometimes hard to portray what you do without coming across as a decorator. I’m super happy with how everything turned out and we didn’t have any confused brides wandering through our space, so that’s two thumbs up in my books!

wedding wednesday :: pretty backdrops

These original and stunning back drops would make any venue vow-worthy! Gone are the days of pipe and drape. Have a collection you want to show off? Handy with paper crafts? Have access to some pallets? The options are endless and they don’t have to be expensive. Make sure to plan ahead. Ask for a helping hand and start scouring thrift / charity shops for unique finds!
