We’re excited to welcome Jolynn Vandam of saige & skye, local Vancouver fiber artist for a three hour beginner weaving workshop!
During this hands on workshop, you will be using a mix of wool and cotton yarns. Merino wool roving and assorted fibers to complete a small sized woven wallhanging. The class covers every step from start to finish, learning a few basic textural weaving methods along the way. A take home kit is included with all the materials you need to start your weaving adventure.
Your kit will contain:
A 10″ x 10x” locally handcrafted eastern maple loom
Cotton warp thread
Weaving needles
Scissors
Dowel, copper, or drift wood to finish your piece off
Intro weaving booklet (just incase you need a refresher)
